A life full of Sunsets and Car CrashesNatalie grew up in a small town on the coast of Florida, just between Miami and West Palm Beach. Her entire life she had been so sheltered and over protected by her parents, watching everyone else spend days at the beach, as she just watched from her porch wishing to be out there with everyone else, but her parent’s thought it was too dangerous. Her older brother had always been allowed more freedom, as she was kept close to home without much freedom at all. On one tragic day when she was thirteen, her father was killed in a car accident that left her family shattered. Following the death of her father, things quickly fell apart for her family. Her mother turned to alcohol to help blur the pain she felt when she lost the love of her life, and soon cared less and less about her children. Natalie’s older brother soon spent less time at home, hanging out with his sister, and Natalie was left abandoned. She decided to completely forget all the rules that had been previously set for her and ventured out on her own, becoming far more independent. As she laid out on the beach, she met a group of teenagers who were very welcoming of her, even letting her to surf with them. These kids were more rebellious than Natalie had ever been and soon introduced her to a life of drugs, drinking, sex and rock and roll, everything her parent’s had spoken so poorly of. Soon her mom began to forget the pain and sober up, realizing that her children’s lives were both completely changed, she needed to do something about it. She and her brother were both into the same scene and although she was only in eighth grade she was already in way too deep and had become far too rebellious and grown up for a girl of her age. Her mother thought that it was best to send them both away from Florida and the lives they had their. With that Natalie ended up in New York at the Waldorf School, but we all know New York isn't the best place to send a young girl with a million addictions. After her arrival in New York she only continued to party and possibly even more so than she had, falling under the influence of an older group of students. She met a boy that she loved to spend time with but he only loved her for her body mainly. She also fell in with her usual friends, but they didn't approve of her partying ways much either. She tried to tame her ways during sophomore year when she dated Kevin Smith briefly, but that did nothing but cause her to cheat on him to find the wild time she was looking for. As a junior she found the best friends a girl could ask for and finally broke her addictions, or at least suppressed them a bit more. After graduating and high school, she didn't want to be far from New York, her new home, and all of the friends who had become family, so she is starting at Rutgers with all the rest of them. She's become pretty weak and broken over the years but she puts up a brave front, because who could feel sorry for the poor little rich girl?
